There are no refunds, its in the EULA.
Sorry, when that becomes legally binding, let me know.
I am legally protected from this kinda of behaviour by the fact that I can choose to not agree with the EULA and not use the software. Therefore the EULA doesn't come into effect as it is only Terms and conditions for playing the software, not a legally binding contract for someone who has purchased game time.
Because EVE asks me to agree to the EULA when it starts, it means I can choose to disagree with it WHENEVER I want.
Luckily, I don't want to cancel my account :)

Why would you buy game time for a game that you refuse to play?
Because , you don't get to read the EULA until you've paid or activated a trial account .... and i'm referring to my right to refusal.

There are multiple licensing models for SQL Server, if CCP use the same one that we do, you pay more up front but you can have as many users as you like. Its called a processor License ... to quote directly from Microsoft
Quote: Processor license. Requires a single license for each CPU in the operating system instance running SQL Server. This license does not require any device or user client access licenses (CALs).

Yes, But only as long as you AGREE to the EULA. Thats why its called an End User License Agreement, not an End User License With No Right To Refuse or just simply an End User License.

Bit off-topic now I know, but I have come across retail Microsoft stuff which have a seal on the back of the CD saying "By opening this, you agree to the EULA". Which is only located in a text file on the same CD you're trying to get to!

I've always found it to be in the Box or the Manual, if you only got the CD then you should take it up with the retailer :)

Well, yes, some companies take it too far.
As for EVE, you do and have agreed to the EULA, you cannot play it without having done so, as such unless you fancy taking the matter to court to resolve whether the contract terms were unfair, you have no recourse or right to compensation.
Just noticed, a EULA is not a Contract ...
Well that really goes without saying, but the reason I was bringing this up is that people were asking if they could get their money back if they cancelled their accounts, and it was said that the EULA says you have no right to a refund - I simple pointed out that the EULU has no right to say whether I can have a refund or not, because I don't have to agree to the EULA to buy game time, just to play the game.
Anyway, my T-Shirts have just come in the post, im not intending to quit and claim a refund at any point soon :) I just get riled when people quote the EULA as a legally binding/Correct piece of literature ...

The contract to use the Software, not the contract pertaining to purchasing game time or have said purchase refunded ... I agree to the EULA to play EVE, not to pay for EVE ... Therefore the rules governing the Playing of EVE have nothing to do with what happens to me Paying for EVE

I just question the 'lunatic' decision to bring the servers back up after a crash, just to run Downtime ....
Admit it, you're teasing us

Doesn't work anywhere around Lonetrek region. Why not just restart the servers so ppl stop whining?
Because we will whine if they restart the servers too

I think you need to empty your cache folder
just leave the settings and browser folders and the prefs.ini file alone ...
